June 20, on Saturday Ejaz Choudry who is 62 years of age has been shot and killed by a Police officer in Canada.

After this incident people demanded an inquiry be held and wanted the police officer to be removed from the force.

The Chief Operating Officer of NCCM which is the National Council Of Canadian Muslims said that the police offer who is responsible must be removed from the force and they need some action to be taken against the police officer.

The police officer fired 5 shots at Choudry when the family called non-emergency line as Choudry has been dealing with Schizophrenia and the family called the non-emergency line.

The police officer used the ladder to enter the apartment through the balcony. The police officer then asked Choudry to get down and didn’t even give him a chance to respond to what he was saying. The officer fired at Choudry immediately for 5 times continuously.

Ejaz Choudry’s nephew said that they were not able to talk to their uncle and he would have been fine if they could tell him that everything will be fine.

After the death of Ejaz Choudry, many people protested against the police officer for not understanding what mental health problem is. The mental health center said that Police should not deal in such a way.

Many people have gathered in the funeral prayer on Wednesday. Ejaz Choudry was 62 years old who use to sit on steps and use to play with kids. He was the father of 4 children.

His nephew said that the family members are disturbed by this incident. Many people protested against the police officer and wanted action to be taken against him.
