Saudi Arabia has declared that Friday prayers at both the holy mosques In Mecca and Madinah have been Suspended temporarily. Even the entry into the Mosque is not allowed.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that Jummah prayer will not be held temporarily, this was announced by the General Presidency Of the Mosques in Mecca and Madinah in order to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
The latest update states that People will not be allowed in Masjid An Nabawi. The Imam will perform the Salah and only a few followers will be allowed to enter and people are advised to offer salah at home.
Only a handful of people offered Friday prayer in Madina.
The roads which lead to Masjid An Nabawi and Masjid Al Haram are being closed. Even the car parking area for Masjid An Nabawi has been closed.
As per the advice given by Health authorities, all these measures must be followed in order to prevent the virus to spread further.
It was declared that from this Friday everyone needs to follow the orders as these measures are for people’s safety. The next order about the prayers in both the holy mosques will be declared after inspecting the situation.
The measures taken by Saudi Arabia and the precautions and awareness to save people from this virus is being taken by the health officials and will lead to success. Â
The main reason behind suspending the prayers is to avoid public gathering in Mosques as thousands of people gather together and offer and Saudi Arabia has taken these measures to avoid gatherings and ordered people to pray at their homes.
A few days back all the mosques in Saudi Arabia except The holy mosques suspended the prayers but from today even the holy mosques will not allow people as declared by the Presidency.
